  报告摘要: 

  肿瘤的爆发与演进起源于遗传和表观遗传的异常转变。这些变异导致癌基因的激活、抑癌基因的失活、以及其他分子和信号通路的转变,使正常细胞爆发转化、癌细胞进一步恶化。发明、判断肿瘤驱动基因并研究它们的相关信号通路、分子网络及调理机制关于改善癌症的检测、预防与治疗施展着决议作用。使用遗传、生化、分子细胞生物以及功效检测的种种手段和细胞、小鼠以及人体组织等种种研究质料,我们多年致力于肿瘤基因的发明和功效、机制方面的研究。先后发明了KAI1(抗癌1号)肿瘤转移抑制基因、KLF5ZFHX3抑癌基因以及ERRFU50FOXA1WWP1等多个肿瘤基因。我们还对KLF5ZFHX3举行了较深入的功效和机制方面的研究,发明KLF5通过作为TGFβ信号通路的一个要害因子实现其抑癌作用、KLF5乙 ;刺鲆KLF5TGFβ施展抑癌功效照旧促癌功效、ZFHX3通过诱导细胞分解来实现其抑癌功效、ZFHX3与激素信号相互作用并调理上皮细胞分解。将基因组和卵白质组学手段应用到肿瘤质料将导致对肿瘤的种种生物学行为的深入周全的相识,从基础上改变对肿瘤的检测、预防、药物开发以及治疗计划的制订。 

  报告人简介: 

    Dr. Jintang Dong has expertise in cancer genetics and biology that is helpful for the success of this proposal. Both of his training and independent research have been on these areas. By publishing more than 100 research articles, he has the expertise in multiple areas of cancer biology research, including the discovery and characterization of cancer genes; functional evaluation of cancer genes in various models such as in vitro cultured cells, xenograft tumor models and genetically modified mice; understanding of how cancer genes function in both normal tissues and tumor cells; how genes are transcriptionally regulated; and how cancer genes regulate the balance of cell proliferation and differentiation in epithelial homeostasis. He has also been involved in head and cancer research at Emory, as he has been the Director for the Developmental Research Program in the Emory SPORE in Head and Neck Cancer. He has mentored multiple junior faculty members during his career so far.
